Demo 2000 Annual Conference on Internationalization of the Petroleum Industry

This year's conference will take place at Soria Moria conference center at Voksenkollen, Oslo, November 10, 2003.

This year’s conference is a joint initiative between Kon-Kraft, OG21, The Oil and Gas Program of the Research Council of Norway, INTSOK and Demo 2000.

The key note address of the opening session will be given by Mr. Faith Birol, Chief Economist, International Energy Agency on the Energy Outlook towards 2030. This presentation will be followed by 5 senior speakers from the industry addressing opportunities and challenges in some of the most important supply chains of the Norwegian Petroleum Industry.

The Theme for the afternoon session is the industry innovation process. 4 senior speakers from the industry will present their own experience on innovation and what expectation they have to the government and the research institutions in supporting the innovation processes.

The Chairman of OG21 Mr. Terje Overvik will present the status of the OG 21 strategy while Mr. Knut B. Haanæs, Executive Director of the Innovation Division of the Research Council of Norway will present the contribution from the Research Council. The Session will be concluded by a Panel of Senior Industry Representatives who will discuss what is required to achieve results.
